Motorsport and mobility leaders from the Middle East, Europe, and Africa have gathered in Budva for the FIA Region I Spring Meeting, a three-day forum focused on advancing safe, sustainable transport and strengthening global motorsport cooperation.

Hosted by the Auto-Moto Association of Montenegro (AMSCG), the meeting brings together representatives from 102 FIA Member Clubs. Discussions will focus on improving road safety, developing sustainable mobility systems, and enhancing the future of motorsport.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem is attending the event, where he highlighted the importance of collaboration in addressing current challenges in mobility and motorsport across regions.

“I look forward to engaging with colleagues on the key challenges and opportunities shaping mobility and motorsport today,” he said, noting the need for safer, more sustainable, and more affordable transport solutions.

The agenda includes sessions from key FIA commissions and working groups, covering heritage preservation, mobility innovation in Europe, and the ongoing rollout of the Safe Mobility 4 All and 4 Life programme.

Montenegro’s transport sector, supported by recent infrastructure projects such as the Bar–Boljare motorway, is seen as a fitting backdrop for discussions on regional connectivity and sustainable growth. The country’s growing grassroots motorsport scene, including rally and hill climb events, also reflects rising regional interest.
