Sitra Club were held to a goalless draw by Kuwait’s Al Qadsia in their Group A fixture of the 2025-26 AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town.
The result keeps Sitra in third place with two points from three matches, following two draws and one defeat. Al Qadsia remain bottom of the table with a single point. Iraq’s Zakho lead the group with seven points after their win over Al Ain, who are second with six.
Sitra, under the direction of head coach Isa Al Saadoun, lined up in a 3-4-2-1 formation led by forward Karl Namnganda. The starting eleven included goalkeeper Yousif Habib, defenders Ibrahim Jamal, Maicon Douglas, and Cavafe, with Vincent Emmanuel, Rayan Fourig, Ali Nasser, and Omran Elias in midfield. Abdulaziz Asfoor and Abdulwasea Almatari supported the attack behind Namnganda.
Al Qadsia, coached by Tunisian Nabil Maâloul, maintained a disciplined shape and restricted Sitra’s forward movement for much of the match, but both sides created few clear chances as the game remained evenly balanced throughout.
Sitra will resume their Gulf Club campaign next year, facing Iraq’s Zakho on February 17 before concluding their group stage against Al Ain on February 20.
