Bahrain Chamber hosts networking event to strengthen economic ties with Thailand Manama The Second Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Mr. Mohammed Al Kooheji, affirmed the strength of trade relations between Bahrain and Thailand, noting that bilateral trade exceeded USD 384 million in 2024, a 14% increase from 2023, highlighting the growing partnership and strong potential for further cooperation.

His remarks came during a networking event with the Thai business delegation held on Tuesday, November 4th, at the Wyndham Grand Hotel. The event brought together business leaders and entrepreneurs from both countries, in the presence of the Ambassador of Thailand to Bahrain, H.E. Sumate Chuljata, the Chamber’s Treasurer Mr. Aref Hajres, Vice Treasurer Mr. Waleed Kanoo, and Board Member Mr. Yousef Salahuddin.

 Al Kooheji highlighted that the meeting united Thai and Bahraini representatives from key growth sectors: Food, Health, Pharmaceuticals, Technology, and Real Estate, offering vast opportunities for mutual expansion. He emphasized that the event reaffirms both nations’ commitment to strengthening economic ties and transforming shared synergies into tangible partnerships that drive investment, innovation, and sustainable development.  

For his part, the Thai Ambassador expressed appreciation to the Bahrain Chamber for its continued partnership in advancing economic relations, noting that this marks the third Thai business delegation to visit the Kingdom in 2025. He reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to positioning Bahrain as a gateway to the GCC and highlighted that the delegation reflects Thailand’s readiness to forge partnerships aligned with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. The Ambassador expressed confidence that the event would pave the way for meaningful collaborations, mutually beneficial investments, and long-term economic ties between the two countries.  

As part of the event, a B2B session enabled direct engagement between Thai and Bahraini entrepreneurs.
