GFH Financial Group named Platinum Partner of REHC for His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival

In accordance with the directives of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s (REHC) High Committee, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, which emphasize the importance of establishing partnerships with prominent local and international institutions that advance the horseracing industry, the REHC has signed a platinum sponsorship agreement with GFH Financial Group.

This partnership with GFH Financial Group, a renowned international financial institution in the investment sector, continues the Club’s efforts to build distinguished collaborations that strengthen the horseracing field in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Yusuf Osama Buheji, Chief Executive Officer of the REHC, and Mr. Salah Abdulla Sharif, Chief Operating Officer of GFH Financial Group.

Under the arrangement, GFH Financial Group will serve as a platinum sponsor of His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival for three consecutive seasons beginning with 2025/2026, joining as one of the Festival’s official partners.

Mr. Yusuf Osama Buheji stated that horseracing in the Kingdom of Bahrain enjoys strong support and attention, noting that the sport is undergoing significant progress through the organization of major international races, championships, and high-profile events hosted by the Club. He added that this advancement has attracted a wide range of local and international entities keen to form strategic alliances that enhance this vital sector.

Mr. Buheji conveyed his appreciation to the management of GFH Financial Group for their dedication to backing the sports sector through sponsorship of His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival. He underscored that the REHC remains committed to fostering an environment that encourages investment in horseracing and drives the sector’s ongoing growth.

For his part, Mr. Salah Sharif voiced the Group’s pride in joining hands with the REHC to support His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival. He remarked that the Group is honored to contribute to the success of this prestigious sporting occasion, held under royal patronage and considered one of the highlights of the Kingdom’s sporting calendar.

Mr. Sharif affirmed that the partnership aligns with GFH Group’s dedication to promoting sports and community initiatives in the Kingdom, particularly those that celebrate the Kingdom of Bahrain’s cultural heritage and reinforce its standing on the global sports stage. He added that horseracing is a promising field experiencing continuous expansion, motivating the Group to play a role in advancing this traditional sport that enjoys wide recognition both locally and internationally.
