Bahrain School held chess tournament
Bahrain School held its fourth annual championship on Monday, 21 March 2016. Twenty-four elementary and middle school students participated in the five-round competition supervised by Chess Master Mohamed Tissir of Bahrain Chess Academy.
- Faisal Alsewaidi was the overall winner while Cori Massey and Ethan Okun took second and third respectively.
- Sho Davenport won the under-10 section with Surafel Cummings and Carson Barrett placing second and third respectively.
- In the under-8 category, brothers Roland and Stephen Saunders came in first and third with Quentin Constine in second.
- Sofia Tryon topped the girls section with Lena Dozeman, DeAsia McDonald, and Hannah Lamb close behind.
