Mowgli, Tamkeen in biz mentoring deal

Tamkeen has announced the signing of a deal with Mowgli Foundation to launch entrepreneurial mentoring services under the umbrella of Tamkeen’s Advisory Services. 

The move, according to Tamkeen, is part of efforts to support enterprises and individuals throughout their developmental phases.

As per the deal, the UK-based Mowgli will train and match mentors with Bahraini entrepreneurs to support them in developing their businesses further and making the best of Tamkeen’s various programmes. 

Mowgli Foundation will coordinate the mentoring programme and process, selecting and training mentors and entrepreneurs in line with specific international standards. Fifteen institutions will be serviced in the pilot phase, during which Tamkeen will monitor the entrepreneurs’ progress and level of development. 

Commenting on the announcement, Tamkeen’s Chairman, Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa said: “Tamkeen is committed to supporting companies and institutions throughout their developmental stages, empowering them to positively impact Bahrain’s economy and the growth of the private sector.”

Commenting on the agreement, Kathleen Bury, Mowgli CEO said, “Mowgli remains committed to empowering entrepreneurs as drivers of economic growth and we are glad to begin operations in Bahrain with Tamkeen to support Bahraini entrepreneurs.”
