Purapipe launches USD 60 million global testing and assembly hub in Bahrain

Switzerland-based Purapipe has announced a USD 60 million Global Test Facility and Assembly Hub for Mobile Pipeline Production Units (MPPU) at the Bahrain International Investment Park. The project was unveiled during Gateway Gulf 2025, the region’s premier investment forum.
The hub marks a major step in Purapipe’s global expansion and reflects confidence in Bahrain’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem. Purapipe’s patented smart pipeline systems enable on-site assembly, reducing transport, waste, and environmental impact.
The Bahrain facility will serve as a global centre for testing, assembly, and technology validation, supporting pilot projects across the Gulf Cooperation Council and Europe, including one with Gas Networks Ireland.
Chairman Nick CochraneDyet said Bahrain’s strategic location and strong industrial base make it the ideal choice. The hub will also foster research partnerships and train Bahraini professionals in automation and digital systems.
