Ajex Opens Saudi Arabia’s First GMP-GxP Certified Logistics Hub for Life Sciences
Ajex Logistics Services has announced the opening of Saudi Arabia’s first logistics facility certified in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Practice (GxP) standards — marking a major milestone in advancing the Kingdom’s healthcare and life sciences supply chain infrastructure.
Located in Riyadh and spanning 3,000 square meters, the new facility is purpose-built to meet the growing demand for temperature-controlled storage and distribution. The launch positions Ajex as the first logistics provider in the Kingdom with infrastructure fully compliant with international GMP-GxP standards.
Ajex has inaugurated Saudi Arabia’s first GMP-GxP certified logistics hub in Riyadh, a 3,000 sqm facility built to meet growing demand for temperature-controlled storage and distribution in the life sciences sector.
Announced during CPHI Frankfurt 2025, the facility positions Ajex as the Kingdom’s first logistics provider with infrastructure fully compliant with international GMP-GxP standards. The site features advanced cold chain zones, including 2–8°C and –20°C rooms for sensitive pharmaceuticals, alongside a relabeling room for market-specific customization such as Arabic packaging.
All systems are fully validated and monitored, following Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and international compliance requirements. The hub supports end-to-end logistics, from certified packaging and customs clearance to temperature-controlled last-mile delivery.
Executive Director of Cold Chain and Healthcare, Justyna Leman, said the new facility “offers pharmaceutical manufacturers a new level of confidence and readiness” as Saudi Arabia expands its life sciences infrastructure under Vision 2030.
Founded in 2021, Ajex provides integrated logistics solutions across the GCC and beyond, with operations in eight countries and a network of over 60 facilities and 1,200 vehicles.
