A financial model that is rapidly changing the way people invest was the focus of a recent workshop in Bahrain, where industry professionals examined how tokenized assets are transforming access to capital.

The session, hosted by digital assets exchange ATME, brought together investors, asset managers and financial leaders to explore how high-value assets like real estate and private equity are being turned into digital units that can be securely traded.

Breaking Down

Barriers Led by Alexey Tartyshev, ATME’s Head of Tokenization and Product Structuring, the workshop focused on how tokenization is lowering the cost of entry for investors and giving asset owners new tools to raise funds.

Participants learned how fractional ownership can make major investment opportunities more accessible to a wider base of investors, while blockchain technology ensures secure, regulated transactions.

Shifting the Landscape

Discussions highlighted the practical advantages of tokenization, including improved liquidity, greater flexibility in capital-raising, and more efficient portfolio diversification. The event focused on how these tools are already being implemented in regulated environments across the region.

Organisers said the workshop was part of a broader effort to equip financial stakeholders in the Gulf with the knowledge needed to navigate the growing market for digital assets.

Beyond the Buzzwords

While the technology behind tokenization may be complex, its benefits are becoming increasingly clear. Investors are looking for faster, simpler and more inclusive ways to access high-value assets, and tokenization is offering a path forward.

ATME, licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, said the event was part of an ongoing series designed to help build trust, transparency and understanding in Bahrain’s evolving digital finance space.
