Tamkeen is deepening its investment in Bahrain’s tech talent as part of a national strategy to fuel economic transformation through digital skills. In partnership with Reboot Coding Institute, the Labour Fund will support the training of 750 Bahrainis in full-stack development, aiming to strengthen the Kingdom’s pipeline of job-ready software professionals.

Driving digitisation

The initiative builds on two years of collaboration with Reboot, which has already trained 350 Bahrainis, including many who transitioned from unrelated sectors such as finance and engineering into technology roles. Reboot’s two-year coding programmes are designed for those with no prior experience and use a ‘learning by doing’ approach tailored to market demands.

The partnership also provides structured job-matching opportunities through private sector links and regular career fairs, reinforcing its goal of building a workforce aligned with Bahrain’s digitisation goals.

Strategic vision

Her Excellency Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, said the programme reflects the fund’s core mission of making Bahrainis the preferred choice in the labour market. “By equipping our people with in-demand digital skills, we are preparing a future-ready national workforce and unlocking access to high-quality tech jobs,” she said.

The partnership is aligned with Tamkeen’s 2025 priorities, including developing private sector competitiveness, supporting enterprise growth, and driving digital sustainability.

Skills for the future

Yanal Jallad, Managing Director of Reboot, said the institute is proud to play a role in Bahrain’s digital shift by producing coding talent ready for deployment across industries. Participants can specialise in fields such as AI, cybersecurity, blockchain, cloud DevOps, and game development.

Applications for the programme are open to all Bahrainis aged 18 and above, with no prior coding experience required.
