UN delegation, Woman panel meet
On the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a high level UN delegation held a meeting with the Head of Child and Woman Committee Roua Bader Al hayki at the Parliament House in Gudaibiya yesterday.
The United Nations (UN) delegation comprised of Acting Director UN Information Centre for the Gulf Countries Samir Aldarabi, Deputy Resident Representative UNDP Limya G. Eltayab and Programme Analyst UNDP Ali Salman Saleh. The members of the Child and Woman Committee MP Fatima Al Asfoor, MP Anas Buhindi and MP Mohsin Al Bakry were also present during the meeting.
Speaking to the DT News, Ms Roua said that it was an introductory meeting with the aim of discussing the matters of mutual interest on the current condition of the violence on women.
