Banking sector key to Bahrain’s development: HRH Prince Salman

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday hailed the pivotal role the banking and finance sectors play in driving the Kingdom’s comprehensive development during talks with top bankers.
The sector, HRH said, is creating quality jobs, investment opportunities and advancing various sectors in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he received the Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank, Bill Winters, along with senior bank officials, at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH Prince Salman commended the Standard Chartered Bank for its exceptional service since its establishment in Bahrain over 100 years ago, emphasizing the bank’s remarkable contribution to the growth of Bahrain’s banking and finance industry.
Bill Winters expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and acknowledged the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s dynamic banking and finance industry.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Rasheed Mohamed Al Maraj, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, were also present at yesterday’s meeting.
