Bahrain, US keen on deepening cooperation

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received US Ambassador to Bahrain Steven C. Bondy.
Al Saleh praised the strong ties and cooperation between Bahrain and the United States, mainly in trade, investment, economy, security and culture.
Ambassador Bondy expressed pride in the deep-rooted Bahrain-US relations and stressed that shared bonds are reinforced by the leadership of the two countries, mutual visits and keenness to widen cooperation and support common interests.
The ambassador praised the openness, coexistence, and tolerance in Bahrain, as well as the KIngdom's initiatives to advance the values of dialogue.
He lauded the historic visits by His Holiness the Pope’s and His Eminence Shekih Al Azhar to Bahrain.
