Boy chairs session, fulfils his dream
A cancer patient's dream of chairing the parliament Council came true, when the boy was allowed to do so for a few minutes yesterday.
Khalifa Ali Al Kameem was received by Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, Parliament and Information Affairs Minister Isa Al Hammadi yesterday.
During the visit facilitated by the Dreams Society, the boy sat on the Speaker’s seat and chaired the session for a few minutes, as it was his dream to visit the Parliament and watch the session.
Khalifa met the MPs, greeted them and at the end of the proceedings, declared the session adjourned using the Speaker’s phrase, “Session closed”.
