Cloudy weather expected today
The Metrological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications forecast a partly cloudy to cloudy weather today with a slim chance for scattered rains.
Southeasterly winds range from 10 to 15 knots, reaching 17 to 22 knots at times. The directorate warned of strong gusts and called for caution.
Maximum temperature is 35° Celsius and minimum temperature is 28° Celsius.
Sea waves are expected to rise from 1 foot to 3 feet inshore and 3 to 6 feet offshore. It is expected to reach up to 8 feet during gusts.
The department and Interior Ministry’s Coast Guard warned of strong winds yesterday.
Interior Ministry posted on Twitter, “Coast Guard calls upon seafarers to be cautious of high winds for their safety,” while the department tweeted, “The Meteorological Directorate calls to be cautions for gale gust at times.”
