Al Hamala housing project nears completion: Ministry
A l Hamala housing project is in the final stages, with the completion of about 95 per cent works.
Minister of Housing, Basim Alhamer, said that the project was within the framework of the Ministry’s comprehensive plan to meet the housing needs of those on the waiting lists in the Northern Governorate.
The housing units keys will be delivered to its beneficiaries after the completion of all construction and infrastructure works. The housing units are already allocated to them according to seniority, which covered the old applications in Northern Governorate.
“Priority in the distribution is given to the old applications from country’s citizens and to those in the surrounding areas,” Alhamer said.
He explained that Al Hamala housing project contained 233 housing units with facilities that provide all kinds of comfort to citizens such as open areas, garden, shops and a mosque that was built on 5.5 hectares.
The Housing Minister added that the housing units were designed to suit the Bahraini family’s needs and the project was compatible with the Bahrain 2030 Economic Vision to reduce the waiting lists by providing all the necessary supplies for the family. The allocation of housing units to beneficiaries of Al Hamala and nearby areas will preserve the fabric and social cohesion, he added.
