Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), was recognized by the British Safety Council for its commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of its employees.

BAC is one of 147 organizations to win at the International Safety Awards 2021, which celebrate organizations from around the world that have demonstrated a commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health.

“This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team. BAC is committed to continuous improvement and further enhancing our safety standards and practices. We believe that our commitment to safety is an investment in our future success and we look forward to a rewarding journey with the British Safety Council as a leader in this field,” BAC CEO Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah said.

“The British Safety Council applauds BAC on its achievement and presents this award in recognition of its commitment to keeping employees and workplaces free of injury and ill-health. The vision of the British Safety Council is that no one should be injured or made ill through their work – anywhere in the world. Achieving this requires more than complying with legislation; it means people committed not only to health and safety but also to workplace wellbeing and compelling others to follow suit,” British Safety Council Chief Executive Mike Robinson said.
