Cafe owner fined BD 2000 for violating COVID-19 seating rules

The owner of a café who failed to abide by the precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 has been ordered to pay a BD2,000 fine.
The prosecutor for ministries and public entities said that the action was taken after health inspectors reported that the café allowed more than six people to sit at a table, which was more than 50 per cent of its seating capacity.
The case was referred to the criminal court which yesterday issued its verdict.
