Summer colours set to take over the island

One million seedlings of summer flowers have been produced in the Works Ministry’s nurseries, in a move to beautify public streets and parks as well as increase the number of green spaces in Bahrain. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf said that the Ministry’s nurseries have produced one million seedlings of seasonal summer flowers to meet the needs of beautifying streets.
Following up on the action plan led by HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Ministry of Works has set a number of strategic goals. Khalaf, while paying an inspection visit to the nurseries in Adhari, said that more trees and flowers will be planted across the Kingdom.
He highlighted the Works Ministry’s keenness to increase local production in order to reduce costs and hone the skills of Bahrainis in the field of plant production.
