Arab Health Minister's Council calls for an emergency meeting on fighting the Corona Virus (Coved 19)

The Arab Health Ministers Council issued a statement today, Thursday, on its 53rd session on the "Corona Virus - Covid 19", calling for an emergency meeting at the expert level to review preparedness, surveillance and exchange of experiences on ways to combat the Corona virus. - Coved 19) during the second week of March.

The statement drew attention to the importance of applying preventive measures and measures that would reduce infection rates taking into consideration the guidance and scientific evidence issued by the World Health Organization to deal with the virus at the global level and at the country level and to enhance communication and exchange of information and precautionary plans and continuous coordination between health agencies and related sectors in Arab countries in light of the escalating danger of this virus spread to various countries of the world, including some Arab countries.

 The statement stressed concern for the health of the Arab citizen in light of the escalating risk of the spread of this virus to various countries of the world, including some Arab countries, stressing the importance of coordinating Arab efforts to address the virus and the measures and preventive measures taken by countries to limit the spread of this epidemic.    

The statement also praised the "proactive steps" taken by China to confront this disease, stressing support for these efforts and confidence in China's ability to overcome this ordeal and its success in taking measures in support of international efforts to prevent the spread of this epidemic virus, expressing its solidarity with China and its support for the efforts of the Chinese government to combat the virus outbreak .
