HRH Premier restructures governorates executive councils
His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister yesterday restructured the executive councils of Capital, Muharraq, Northern and Southern Governorates. The newly restructured councils will have a President, Vice President and other members.
The duration of their membership in the councils will be four years and renewable. An edict issued will be effective from the date of issuance and publication in the Official Gazette. Governors will handle the role of President and Deputy Governors the role of Vice Presidents.
The councils will have a member from its Governorate of Police. Besides, Capital Governorate will have 15 other members, Muharraq 14 members, Northern Governorate 15 members and Southern Governorate 15 members.
