Man beats fellow national to death

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 35-year-old man in Tubli area. Investigators said the man has confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody. He was arrested while attempting to escape from the crime scene. The victim was found murdered in a house in Tubli after his head was smashed using a hammer. Both the suspect and victim are Asian nationals.

The investigation is ongoing. Ahmed Al Ansari, Prosecution Deputy Attorney General of the Capital Governorate, a coroner has examined the body of the victim. The report cited a blunt force trauma to the head as a result of assault using a hammer as the reason for the death. Police who reached the crime scene following a tip-off arrested the suspect while he was attempting to escape. Information was regarding a fight ongoing in a house in Tubli.

The Prosecution Deputy Attorney General confirmed in a press statement that serious head injuries caused by a ‘hard object’ as the reason for the death.
