BCCI participating in the Gulf-Jordanian Economic Forum

A high level delegation from Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) presided over by First Vice-Chairman Othman Alrayes is participating in the Gulf-Jordanian Economic Forum scheduled from September 2 to 3 in the Capital city of Jordan.

The Forum which aims to deepen business relations, trade, and investments between the Gulf States and Jordan will also emphasise issues of mutual interest including the role of the youth in developing their economies and the role of women entrepreneurs.  The Chamber is to participate with two work papers, one on bridging Gulf and Jordanian businesswomen and deepening their relation, which is to be delivered by board member Afnan Al Zayani; and another on funding micro small and medium enterprises to be delivered by the Counselor of the Enterprise Initiative Center Hussain Janahi.

In this regard Alrayes said “This forum constitutes an opportunity to step up the business relation between Jordan and the GCC countries and probe economic and business cooperation”.  

He added, “This is also an opportunity to promote for the First Annual Global Employers’ Summit to be hosted in Bahrain in October and under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and organised jointly by Bahrain Chamber and the International Organization of Employers”.
