PM calls for speedy justice in terror cases

Echoing his firm stand on terrorism, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa reiterated the importance of bringing the perpetrators of terrorism to justice to ensure they get deterrent punishment without delay.
“We are in a war against terror, terrorists and those who support them, and this requires everybody to expedite procedures to bring suspects to justice to get the punishment they deserve, and sue those behind them,” he remarked while chairing a high-level security meeting at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
In the meeting, he was informed about the security situation and the pre-emptive measures taken by the security authorities to combat terror and terrorists.
“Through explosions and criminal practices, terrorists are trying to sow divide, undermine national unity and ignite sectarianism in order to spark sedition,” he said, and urged the security bodies to continue their measures against terrorists. The Premier also called on the citizens to rally together against the threat of evil groups.
During the meeting, HRH the Premier was briefed on the latest security developments as well as the efforts being exerted by the security authorities to arrest the perpetrators involved in the terror crimes in the kingdom recently.
Prince Khalifa was also informed about the judicial procedures by the competent bodies to bring the accused in terror crimes to justice and the procedures taken to implement the verdicts issued against terrorists.
