Second phase of Arad Housing project nearing completion
Manama
The second phase of Arad housing project is 85 per cent complete, revealed Housing Ministry’s Undersecretary Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
Twenty three housing units have been added to the project to reduce the number of housing applicants on the waiting list, he said.
A total of 138 units were earlier distributed in the first phase of the project.
Shaikh Abdulla said the whole project, which spans over 15.45 hectares, is one of the most prominent projects in Muharraq Governorate. It consists of 351 residential units with complete facilities and services.
“We are accelerating the pace of the work and the units will be allocated to citizens in September. The second phase includes 181 housing units,” he explained.
Shaikh Abdulla added the site is a natural extension of the residential communities surrounding it.
The units in this project are of the new T8 type models. The facades, windows and some other elements of these units are being made in tradition Bahraini style.
