Asians jailed for forcing housemaid into prostitution
The High Criminal Court has handed down 10 years sentence to two Asian nationals convicted of forcing a housemaid into engaging in prostitution. The convicts were also fined BD2,000 each and will be deported upon the completion of their sentences. According to Public Prosecution, the convicts brought the victim on a housemaid visa and forced her into engaging in prostitution. “The duo also tortured her very badly before she agreed to their demands,” the prosecutors added.
