ArtBahrain appoints Middle Eastern arts specialists

The much-awaited international art fair in Bahrain, ArtBahrain, announced the appointment of Janet Rady as its Head of the Speakers Panel and Education Programme, Renaud Siegmann as its Head of VIP Relations and Dr. Alka Raghuvanshi as the Communications Editor. The event will be held from October 13 to 16.

The three appointees, known for their vast knowledge in Middle Eastern and global art, will play host to 200 international art collectors, 2,000 VIP clients and about 10,000 visitors.

Rady is a fine art consultant with over 20 years’ experience in international art markets. She currently represents a wide range of cutting edge Contemporary Arab and Iranian artists. 

Siegmann, a former arts journalist and architecture critic, has 15 years of experience writing about global art. He was the Commissioner General of Marrakech Art Fair in 2010.

Dr. Alka Raghuvanshi is India’s first trained art curator. A writer, artist, journalist, curator, she has left indelible marks as the art world’s most proactive participant.

Under the patronage of Wife of HM the King and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women HRH Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, ArtBahrain is designed to showcase the best the country has to offer, and bring the best of the international arts world to Bahrain. Co-founder of ArtBahrain Kaneka Subberwal said, “It is wonderful to have Janet, Renaud and Dr Raghuvanshi on board with us at ArtBahrain. I am confident this will help stimulate ArtBahrain further as the leading international platform for artists in the Middle East and across the globe.”

The event is set to be a culminating point for artists, art collectors and art lovers. It is expected to be a platform where artists and galleries from around the world will share space and ideas with local artists.
