His Majesty appoints Shura members
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Order 59/2018, appointing the members of the Shura Council.
The order shall take effect as from December 12, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
The is the Upper House of the National Assembly, the main legislative body of Bahrain. The forty seats of the Consultative Council combined with the forty elected seats of the Council of Representatives form the National Assembly of Bahrain.
All laws have to be passed by both chambers of the Assembly.
