Woman ‘molests, robs Asian laundryman’
An Asian laundry worker was molested by an Arab woman before robbing money from his wallet, the court heard. The 32-year-old woman, a mother of seven children, faces charges of indecent assault and robbery apart from inciting her victim to prostitution and stands trial before the High Criminal Court.
The victim filed a case with the police after the incident. “The woman was wearing a niqab when she entered the shop. She asked me water and then enquired about toilet. I said the shop did not have toilet facility,” the man told prosecutors.
“Suddenly, she came close and pressed her body against mine. She forcefully hugged me before grabbing my private parts,” he said. The man alleged that she would later snatch his wallet and take BD 8 from it before fleeing the scene.
The victim said he couldn’t stop the robbery as the woman had a large-built body. “I informed my sponsor immediately about the robbery and he reported it to police,” he said.
