Coast Guard patrols rescue child from drowning

Acting Coast Guard Commander announced here yesterday that maritime patrols of the Coast Guard had rescued a child while swimming in the sea yesterday evening.
He said that around 4pm, screams of a child were heard near the gate of the Coast Guard Base in Muharraq. The patrols rushed to the scene, rescued the child and moved him to the base for first aid until the arrival of the ambulance.
“The boy was transferred to King Hamad University Hospital (KHGH) and his condition is stable now,” he added.
Acting Coast Guard Commander called upon seafarers to follow security and safety tips to avoid such mishaps.
