A Lifetime of Memories: The Vigs Return to India with Gratitude and Love for Bahrain
Manama: In a heartwarming farewell story from Bahrain, long-time residents Om Prakash Vig and his wife Neelam Vig are bidding adieu to the kingdom after 48 incredible years, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication and love.
Om, who devoted 36 years to the Ministry of Electricity & Water, and Neelam, a beloved Hindi teacher at the Indian School, Bahrain, for over 25 years, are returning to their hometown in Delhi, India, to start a new chapter in their lives.
In an emotional interview, Om shared his gratitude for the life they've built in Bahrain, saying, "I came to this beautiful island in search of better opportunities for a short time, never imagining that Bahrain would become my first home. I am deeply grateful to the country, its people, and its gracious leadership for the love and respect we received during our stay here."
Neelam too echoed his sentiments, "This country has given me a lifetime of memories more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. No words of thanks can truly express what Bahrain means to me and my family. I leave Bahrain with a heart full of love and gratitude," she said.
The couple's three children, Sachin, Neha, and Nidhi, born and raised in Bahrain, share their parents' affection for the country and hope to visit again soon. As the Vigs embark on this new journey, they carry with them the warmth and memories of their time in Bahrain.
