Rebuilding community
Manama : Making students a major part of community rebuilding process, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa inaugurated the #Dyratek_Aoola initiative in Abdulrahman Kanoo International school yesterday.
The initiative, according to the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honorary President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, allows students to “show their abilities and talents to reconstruct ramshackle houses, the project His Majesty the King launched to support inhabitants”.
“We aim through this initiative to make students a major part of rebuilding the community especially from the humanitarian aspect,” Shaikh Khalid told the students in his opening address.
The move, Shaikh Khalid said, “exemplifies the vision of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Honourable Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.”
“The project encourages students on volunteer deeds and teaches them noble values and loyalty and nationalism in their souls,” Shaikh Khalid stressed.
Following the inauguration, His Highness took a tour of the annual charitable exhibition the school holds. His Highness received a memorial gift from the school board president on the occasion.
