Olympic Academy courses held
Manama : The Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Olympic Academy successfully hosted five of seven courses across different locations in Saudi Arabia recently.
More than 170 coaches from Saudi Arabia’s national sports clubs attended these courses, which were presented as part of an agreement between the academy and the Saudi Institute for Leadership Development.
Academy director Nabeel Taha said these courses created good feedback among the sports family in Saudi Arabia as well as the sports media, noting the positive response it received from participating coaches.
According to Taha, the first three courses were held in the Eastern Province, Riyadh and Al Qaseem, where sessions were presented by academy instructor Dr Husain Jaffer.
Ahmed Hafed and Adel Al Asfoor managed the fourth course in the city of Ha’il, while the fifth was conducted by Nabeel Taha and Mahmood Yateem.
The timetable and venues for the remaining two courses are yet to be determined.
