Upgrade services at port: Al Shemeri
Manama : The transport and logistics sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) recently convened a regular meeting at Bait Al Tijjar headed by committee chief and bureau member Abdulhakeem Al Shemeri.
The meeting commended the Customs Affairs of the Ministry of Interior headed by Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the array of new and updated electronic
services offered to the users.
The meeting also deliberated about means of streamlining the logistics sector and called to upgrade services at Khalifa bin Salman Port by offering transport within the Port and increasing the containers section capacity.
“The services provided by APM Terminals at Khalifa bin Salman Port are below the expectations of Bahraini importers and exporters,” Al Shemeri said
