Minister pays homage to Arab League official
Manama : The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa sent a cable of condolences to Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit. He expressed his sincere condolences on the passing of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli, recalling with great pride and appreciation his outstanding contributions and role throughout his long career.
He noted his high efficiency and great experience in strengthening and developing joint Arab action as well as his sincere efforts to resolve many conflicts tirelessly with the desire of the Arab countries to advance and prosper and serve their people. This has made the late Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli an example of a diplomat keen and dedicated to the issues of his nation as well as his undeniable efforts to maintain its security and stability.
The late Ambassador received a lot of accolades, in recognition of his outstanding activity and relentless efforts to preserve its security and stability.
