Bedridden Indian expat seeking financial aid

Manama : An Indian expatriate, who has been living in Bahrain for the past 12 years, is admitted at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) and is in desperate need of financial aid.

Sunil Kumar, 46, who works as a pump operator, was brought to the hospital on May 29 following a headache and vomiting, resulting in loss of consciousness. The medical reports revealed that this was due to stroke and a blood clot in his brain stem.

“Sunil is now paralysed and admitted at the SMC as he will be sent to India soon as a stretcher patient along with the help of two paramedical staff which will cost more than BD3000,” said an ICRF volunteer.

“We did all we could to help him out but now we request people to come forward and financially support him for his treatment. He is the only provider for his family and in this medical condition, he is unable to provide for his family,” he added.

“We request people to come forward and donate generously as that would help him and his family live a better life,” the volunteer added.

Those who wish to donate or help Sunil could contact Sudheer Thirunilat on 39461746, or could write to DT News for Sunil’s wife account details.
