Bahraini youth imprisoned for kidnap and assault
Manama : A 20-year-old accused of detaining, theft and physical abuse of a fellow Bahraini has been jailed for five years by the High Criminal Court.
Court files said that the youngster attacked the victim after discovering his relationship with his cousin.
The defendant reportedly forced his cousin to call the victim and set up a meeting with him in Juffair.
After the victim arrived, the defendant and his friends dragged him into their car, and blind folded him. He was then reportedly detained for two hours. “They physically assaulted me for two hours, and then dropped me back to my car. They also stole my phone,” the victim told.
