Mathematics Week​ at ​New Millennium School

New Millennium School-DPS Bahrain celebrated an exclusive “Mathematics Week” from  November 6to10 to tap the problem solving and creative skills in the students. The event was organized for all grades from Kindergarten to Grade XII.

An array of activities included in the week to help children develop a love for Math and expand their analytical skills. The main activities included Model Making, Puzzles, Chart making, Article or Poem writing on the topic “Maths in Daily Life”,   Power Point Presentations, Seminars etc.

A special assembly was conducted during the week. The theme for the senior session was ‘Journey of Mathematics” from the pre-historic time to the present which showcased the creative skills and helped the students to develop a love for Math. Through a skit the students also gave an insight on how mathematical skills are crucial in daily life.

Young students of Kindergarten, Grade I & Grade II also celebrated the week which portrayed the significance of ‘learning Maths’. The young scholars enjoyed learning about shapes, figures, signs, symbols and simple Arithmetic calculations through a variety of fun filled activities and presentations.

Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, Managing Director   Geetha Pillai and Principal   Arun Kuumar Sharma appreciated the efforts of the parents, the students and the teachers and also congratulated them on the successful completion of “Mathematics Week 2016.”
