They will discuss three working papers where the first paper deals with the “The first section of the Bahraini Family Provisions Law, its role and ensured access to justice for women.”

The second paper looks into “The most important problems in the Sharia Law Court in the Kingdom and its impact on the reality of women and families” provided by Head of Department of Private Law and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, University of Bahrain, Dr. Mohamed Walid Al Masri.

The third paper deals with the “Effectiveness of civil society institutions in issuing and following up with the implementation of family legislation in the Kingdom,” provided by lawyer Fareed Ghazi Jassim Rafea, member of the Council of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR).

It is noteworthy that this year’s activities are held as part of the Bahraini Women’s Day 2016, themed “Bahraini Women in the Legal and Judicial Field.” It’s devised to highlight success stories of women’s legal participation since 1970 and their contribution to the field of policies especially since the National Reform Project.
