Workshop on emergency evacuation held in Bahrain
Manama : The Human Resources Directorate of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning held a workshop on building evacuation here in association with the Civil Defence General Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.
Specialists from the Civil Defence Directorate gave a detailed presentation on evacuation process and methods to overcome panic during a fire outbreak.
The evacuation plan highlighted duties of the crisis management team, emergency response staff, fire-fighting team and security men, during an event of fire outbreak.
Participants were briefed on ways to secure valuable documents. They were also notified on the emergency exit and gathering points.
The workshop also highlighted the basic safety equipment needed in governmental buildings.
