Man jailed for threatening wife, sister
Manama : The High Criminal Court has sentenced a Bahraini man to three months behind bars for threatening his wife and sister with a knife. The defendant was also accused of injuring his son by putting out a cigarette on his body.
The man, according to court files, also had problems with his wife. She was staying at her family house and had also filed for divorce. “My sister-in-law one day came to my house with my son. He was crying and his body had burn injuries,” the woman said.
The man, according to court documents, one evening barged into her house and threatened his wife and sister with a knife, demanding to give back his son.
“I was stunned to see him entering our house without permission. He was shouting. Then he went back to his car and brought a knife,” she added.
