Shaikh Khalid arrives in Florida to attend UFC
Manama : The First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and founder of the KHK MMA organisation HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has arrived in the US state of Florida to attend the UFC on FOX (19) FIGHT NIGHT organised by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), in order to support Khalid Hamad Khalid Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) team members and professional fighters Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.
Shaikh Khalid was briefed on the preparations of the two fighters and expressed confidence in their abilities to achieve positive results in the championship.
Meanwhile, the KHK MMA team concluded its final preparations after passing the official weigh-in with Nurmagomedov known as ‘The Eagle’.
He is looking forward to extend his unbeaten record to 23 wins when he takes on American Darrell Horcher in the 155lb (70kg) lightweight category, while Makhachev with a 12-1 record takes on American Drew Dober also in the 155lb (70kg) lightweight category and in action last night.
