Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma emphasised the importance of summer programmes and training courses for young people, which help them make productive and positive use of their time.
He praised the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which emphasise care for young people and the use of national resources to encourage creativity and excellence.
The minister also commended the government’s efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide programmes and resources that support youth development, enhance their skills and create an environment that enables them to excel.
Dr. Juma made the remarks during a visit to the first “Gadeha Junior” training camp for young participants, held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre under the direction of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard.
During the visit, the minister reviewed the camp’s training programmes and practical activities, which are designed to develop participants’ physical and mental abilities and provide opportunities to strengthen their skills.
The camp also aims to instil values of commitment, discipline, cooperation, teamwork and self-confidence among participants from an early age.
Dr. Juma praised Shaikh Nasser’s direction to organise the “Gadeha Junior” camp, saying it reflects his commitment to supporting young people through the comprehensive development of their personalities, helping them develop their abilities and discover their potential.
He also expressed appreciation for the role of Brigadier General Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of Special Operations at the Royal Guard, in developing physical programmes and sports and social initiatives that contribute to enhancing the skills of Bahraini youth.
