Youth investment key to Bahrain’s development, minister says

Wail Al Mubarak meets participants of HIPO-YOUTH leadership programme

Municipalities and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak met participants of the eighth batch of the national leadership programme HIPO-YOUTH, stressing that investing in and empowering Bahraini youth is essential to sustaining the Kingdom’s development.

The programme, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with the Bahrain Society for Human Resources Management, is being held at Youth City 2030.

Al Mubarak highlighted the importance of teamwork, initiative and innovation, describing Bahraini youth as a key national asset and stressing the need to provide them with opportunities to develop their leadership capabilities.

During the meeting, the minister shared aspects of his professional experience and outlined the ministry’s work in municipal and agricultural services, food security and development projects.

He also highlighted environmental initiatives, including the plan to reach 3.6 million trees by 2035 and the Bahrain Mangrove initiative, which aims to quadruple mangrove trees by the same year.

The meeting included an interactive discussion, with Al Mubarak responding to participants’ questions and listening to their views and suggestions on youth development and national priorities.
