LMRA Detained 114 Labour Law Violators
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted 3,633 inspection campaigns and visits across Bahrain in July, leading to the arrest of 114 workers for violating labour and residency laws.
The authority said 420 violators were deported following legal procedures after inspections uncovered breaches of Bahrain’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and Residence Law.
The inspections included 3,449 visits to commercial establishments and 184 joint campaigns conducted in cooperation with government entities.
The LMRA said it will continue intensifying inspection efforts to combat illegal labour practices, protect the stability of the labour market, and support Bahrain’s economic and social security.
Coast Guard Updates Marine Survey Area
Coast Guard has announced a change to the work area for a three-dimensional marine survey project being carried out by Bapco Energies in the Kingdom’s territorial waters.
The new designated area will remain in effect for two months, according to the Ministry of Interior.
The Coast Guard urged fishermen, boat users and sea-goers to exercise caution while navigating near the project site, maintain safe speeds, avoid approaching survey equipment, and refrain from fishing within the designated work area.
Police Chief Meets UK Embassy Official
Chief of Public Security Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan received Fiona Walker Doyle, Deputy Head of Mission at the UK Embassy in Bahrain.
During the meeting, Al Hassan praised the strong and developing relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in the security field.
The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and the UK.
Cybersecurity Skills Highlighted at Youth City 2030
Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Deputy CEO for Cybersecurity Operations at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), visited Youth City 2030 to review cybersecurity initiatives aimed at developing young Bahraini talent.
The visit highlighted two NCSC programmes — “Cyber Youth” and “Start Your Career in Cybersecurity” — which provide workshops and interactive activities focused on cybersecurity awareness, digital risks, technical skills and career opportunities.
He said the NCSC’s participation reflects its commitment to building cybersecurity capabilities among young Bahrainis and strengthening the Kingdom’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
MOI Arrests Suspect in Child Luring Case
Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of a 21-yearold luring and exploiting a 13-year-old girl through a social media platform. The ministry said the arrest was carried out by the Cyber Child Protection Unit of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security.
Following the receipt of a report, authorities immediately launched investigations, gathered evidence, identified the suspect, and arrested him. Legal procedures have been completed, and the case is being referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
