SCW to Celebrate 25 Years of Empowering Bahraini Women

Silver Jubilee and Bahraini Women’s Day 2026 to be held under HM King Hamad’s patronage

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) will celebrate its 25th anniversary alongside Bahraini Women’s Day 2026 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, expressed deep appreciation for His Majesty’s patronage of the landmark national occasion, describing it as a reflection of the Kingdom’s continued commitment to advancing the role of Bahraini women.

HRH Princess Sabeeka said the celebration coincides with the designation of 2026 as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer", honouring the founder of Bahrain’s modern state and the pioneer of institutional development. She noted that the SCW’s Silver Jubilee marks another milestone in the Kingdom’s journey of nation-building under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.

She added that these national occasions celebrate the remarkable progress achieved by Bahraini women through His Majesty’s comprehensive reform and development programme, supported by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Addressing Bahraini women, HRH Princess Sabeeka said their achievements are a testament to their determination, resilience, and commitment to contributing to the Kingdom’s development. She praised their vital role in Bahrain’s comprehensive growth and national progress.

Looking ahead, HRH Princess Sabeeka said the future offers greater opportunities and responsibilities, encouraging Bahraini women to continue striving for excellence with confidence in themselves and their country. She called on them to remain active partners in decision-making, voices of wisdom, and enduring symbols of dedication and service to the nation.
