Values of Tolerance and Coexistence

Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa has extended his deepest thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his directives that contributed to the success of this year’s Ashura season.

The governor also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the government’s efforts in providing the necessary facilities and support to ensure the smooth organisation of the season.

Shaikh Khalifa highlighted the role of the Ministry of Interior and security teams in maintaining safety and stability, following the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

He commended ministries, government bodies and relevant authorities for their cooperation, while praising ma’atam leaders and organisers for their responsibility, coordination and commitment to organisational measures.

The governor said the successful Ashura season reflects Bahrain’s values of tolerance, coexistence and respect for religious freedoms, adding that the strong cooperation between all parties demonstrates the spirit of national unity and community partnership.

He noted that the positive image presented during the season reflects Bahrain’s social harmony and the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting coexistence and safeguarding religious freedoms.
