Royal Academy Reviews Training, Doctoral and E-Learning Programmes
His Excellency Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, chaired the Council’s meeting in the presence of His Excellency Major General Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, and Major General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Academy of Police, along with several council members.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman welcomed the attendees and highlighted the vital role played by the Royal Academy of Police in strengthening the security system through its academic and training programmes. He stressed the importance of maintaining high-quality educational and training outputs across all departments to meet the requirements of modern policing.
He further emphasized that the development of academic and training programmes is a cornerstone in preparing qualified security personnel equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to keep pace with rapidly evolving security challenges. He also referred to directives from the Minister of Interior on leveraging modern technologies and best educational practices to enhance institutional efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in doctoral programmes and discussed related recommendations. It also examined challenges facing the implementation of the academy’s distance learning system, along with proposed solutions to improve its effectiveness and efficiency.
In addition, the Council discussed the graduation of the 14th cohort of officers from the diploma programme and reviewed a briefing on key activities and events conducted by the Royal Academy of Police between 14 January and 30 April 2026.
The meeting concluded with the discussion of several recommendations related to the agenda items, aimed at further developing the academy’s educational and training processes and enhancing overall outcomes.
