Satellite Image Unveiled
Al Munther continues successful operations in orbit
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the Space Science Agency and presented him with the first full satellite image of Bahrain captured by the satellite Al Munther.
During the meeting, Deputy PM highlighted that Bahrain’s investment in future sciences reflects the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to strengthen the Kingdom’s global position in space science.
He described the establishment of the Bahrain Space Agency as a key achievement, praising efforts led by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to advance the sector and develop national talent.
Shaikh Khalid also congratulated the agency on the first anniversary of the satellite’s launch, noting its successful and precise operation in orbit. He stressed the importance of using satellite data to support government projects, including urban planning, infrastructure development, and environmental monitoring.
