Eight Detained Over BD800,000 Burglary

The Head of the Capital Governorate Prosecution stated that the Public Prosecution received a report from Um Al-Hassam Police Station regarding a burglary at a private residence where gold bars and other valuables exceeding BD 800,000 were stolen.
Investigations by the Criminal Investigation Division identified the suspects. Three of them reportedly committed the theft while the house was unoccupied and handed the stolen items to five others for concealment, fully aware that the items were stolen.
Upon receiving the report, the Public Prosecution immediately launched an investigation, ordering the suspects to be apprehended and their residences searched. The stolen items were recovered during the arrests, and the suspects admitted to committing the crime. The Public Prosecution ordered their pretrial detention while investigations continue in preparation for referral to court.
